Adam Barss is Borrego Solar’s Director of Safety working out of our Lowell, MA office. He joined Borrego Solar in 2018 as the Director of Safety. In this role, he provides oversight for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) program and is chairing the Working Team that sets the EHS corporate policies and establishment and promotion of a safety culture. Additionally, he evaluates Borrego’s EHS performance and provide leadership in establishing initiatives to improve company-wide safety culture. Since he joined our team, he has been focused on the standardization of safety policy, procedures, training and reporting guidelines. Adam brings to Borrego Solar a passion for creating a safety culture and large perspective on safety as he brings 12 years of expertise as a safety professional in a variety of industries. He has a Bachelor of Science in Safety Studies and Business Management from Keene State College, Keene, NH.
He is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) and First Aid / CPR / AED Trained.
He is also certified in several OSHA courses, including: #511, General Industry Standards; #510, Construction Industry Standards OSHA Course; #500, Construction Safety Trainer OSHA; #501, General Industry Safety Trainer; #2250, Principles of Ergonomics; OSHA 20-hour Construction Supervisor Leadership Skills Outreach Train the Trainer; and OSHA 10-Hour Electrical Transmission and Distribution Train the Trainer.
