Bob Jalalpour

Senior Project Developer

Bob is a Senior Project Developer working out of California. He joined Borrego half a decade ago as the Director of Project Finance, where he led Borrego Solar’s asset sales effort, including qualifying and maintaining relationships with financiers of solar projects and managing M&A for the assets in the firm’s development pipeline. In 2017, he decided to shift his attention to Borrego’s development efforts, managing the acquisition and entitlement of land in Oregon and closing a large portfolio of community solar projects in Minnesota before returning to California to focus his efforts on the California solar market. Prior to joining the Borrego Solar team, Bob focused on project finance and the acquisition of solar assets for Clean Focus Corporation. And prior to making the move to solar, he spent four years in the wind sector with Clipper Windpower where he managed project development, due diligence, and utility-scale project transactions, including a 30 MW wind project in Oaxaca, Mexico. Bob holds two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of California Berkeley, and earned a Master’s degree focused on offshore wind project economics from the Bren School at the University of California Santa Barbara.
