Mr. Charles Barbanti is a Project Manager for Borrego Solar based out of the company regional headquarters in Massachusetts. Since entering the solar industry in 2009, Charles has been working primarily on commercial and public-sector mid-scale solar power installations throughout New England. As a Project Manager, he’s responsible for shepherding his projects from project development hand-off through to commissioning, and after receiving permission to operate, he assists in educating and turning the systems over to his clients. During the design and installation process, Charles is the primary point of contact for host customers and their respective solar financiers or PPA providers, and manages a team of subcontractors. Prior to working for Borrego Solar, he spent five years delivering water conservation projects that are similar, in terms of economics, to a variety of large scale solar projects, and he was an integral member of NSTAR’s largest electrical infrastructure upgrade project in New England; a project worth $100 MM. Charles is a Marine Engineer with a BS in Engineering from the Mass Maritime Academy and has a USCG Second Engineer’s License for managing engine rooms of unlimited horsepower. He’s earned an HVAC design certificate in 2000 from Northeastern University.
