John duPont is Borrego Solar’s Vice President of Energy Storage, based out of the New England Regional Headquarters in Lowell, MA. John is responsible for defining the specification for energy storage products used in Borrego projects, identifying the technical solutions for both behind-the-meter and front-of-meter energy storage applications, qualifying technology partners, and managing the integration of energy storage into solar photovoltaic design and construction efforts. He joined Borrego Solar in 2016 to co-found Borrego’s energy storage division after six years at EnerNOC, where he held multiple roles in engineering, project management, and product marketing of energy efficiency, energy intelligence software, and distributed energy systems. John has extensive experience in energy engineering and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and controls systems, and is a licensed Mechanical Engineer with the State of California. John received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and his master’s degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University.
