Vice President of Project Development - Western US
Mr. Kyle Kearney is Borrego Solar’s Vice President of Project Development on the West Coast working out of the company’s Northern California regional headquarters. Kyle currently heads all business and project development efforts for the Western U.S. Project Development Team. His primary focus is to support Borrego Solar’s continued success in the commercial, municipal, education and agribusiness sectors. Prior to moving into the VP role, Kyle was a commercial Project Developer for Borrego Solar and developed commercial and public-sector solar across North America. He specializes in working with both public and private clients interested in lowering their operational costs by eliminating more traditional and costly forms of electricity. Kyle entered the solar photovoltaic industry in 2007 and spent 10 years prior to that working in environmental permitting and sustainable development. Prior to joining Borrego Solar he was Vice President of Business Development at Safari Energy in New York, an energy investment firm developing solar solutions for REITs and large real estate portfolios. Kyle graduated from Marquette University with a BA in Anthropology and his Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the University of California Riverside. He earned his MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley.
