Mr. Matthew Martunas is a Project Manager with Borrego Solar based out of the company’s New England regional headquarters in Massachusetts. As a Project Manager, Matthew is responsible for the development and implementation of the solar energy system’s lifecycle from the moment it’s handed off by the Project Development Team until it’s interconnected with the utility grid and given permission to operate (PTO). Matthew typically administers project start-up and permitting, reviews engineering and design drawings, manages the subcontractor bid and selection process, aids in procurement of materials and major system components, oversees project phasing, construction sequencing and scheduling as well as project commissioning and close-out. Prior to joining the Borrego Solar team in 2013, Matthew spent four years as both a Project Manager and Director of Construction Management for a leading MA solar Energy company. Prior to entering the solar industry, he was a Project Manager in both the commercial and residential sectors, managing all areas of construction, ranging from design-build tenant fit-ups to overseeing multiple subdivision build-outs in the Atlanta, GA area. Matthew holds a Construction Supervisor’s License (CSL) in MA, is OSHA 30 certified, and 40 HR Hazwoper site certified. He earned his BA in Political Science from the Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina.
