Principal Electrical Engineer
Mr. Pat Retelle currently serves as a Principal Electrical Engineer for Borrego Solar. As a member of Borrego Solar’s New England photovoltaic design team, Pat specializes in designing roof and ground mounted commercial and public-sector photovoltaic (PV) installations in New York and Massachusetts that meet the National Electric Code (NEC), respective utility requirements, and internal corporate standards, all of which lead to the highest quality solar generation systems and yield maximum energy output. He has been in the solar industry since 2008, and prior to joining the Borrego Solar team Pat was Director of Energy Engineering for Solar Design Associates where he scheduled engineering resources as well as developed and reviewed PV system designs. Pat is certified with the North America Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) in PV and thermal technologies. He is an Electrical Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, a Project Management Professional (PMP), and earned his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and his Master of Science in Energy Engineering from UMass Lowell. He also earned his MBA from New Hampshire’s Rivier University.
